Denny Dayton is coming to Denver Denny and Sam his Business Manager will be coming to Denver on Thursday September 23 and staying thru Sunday September 26. This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and greet a living legend of the Ragdoll World. Denny is looking forward to meeting & spending some time with all of you, he is looking forward to seeing all your lovely Ragdolls.
Denny has made a large financial contribution to the IRC, and will serve as our Honorary Chairperson. He commented "that it feels great to become active again." The best news however is that he & Sam are coming to Denver. Denny is excited to see just how far the Ragdoll Breed has come since he and Laura bought the first Ragdoll breeding pair from Ann Baker. The Breed has come a long ways in the last 40 years and many of you may have forgotten or never knew just just how much this man and his wife contributed to our breed. We are working on putting together a CD called "A Stroll Down Memory Lane" to show just how far we have come. The CD will be shown following the Banquet, it contains 80 old pictures from the 1970's. 
Southwest Airlines has just announced a fare sale in and out of Denver to and from "select cities". Maybe your city is one of the lucky ones ;) I have flown on Southwest several times and I LOVE them! Your bags fly FREE and they allow CATS onboard!!! AND they only charge $75 for the pet ticket!! July 1, 2010 UpdateENTERING YOUR RAGDOLLWe are really starting to get close, there is less than 3 months to go before the start of the 7th International Ragdoll Congress in Denver, Colorado. A small number of Ragdolls have already been entered, and their owners names will be entered into the drawing for the $100.00 during the Saturday evening Banquet. The first 10 Ragdoll entries are eligible for the drawing. Foot of the Rockies Cat Club will very soon be adding a Pay Pal Button to their web site so that you can make payment using it rather than having to mail them a check. frccinc.org REMEMBER ALL ENTRY FEES ARE PAID TO FOOT OF THE ROCKIES CAT CLUB-NOT IRC.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS
I talked to JaNeil today and she said that the Hotel Reservations are already starting to fill up. I recommend that you start making your reservations now and if your circumstances change you can always cancel them later. The number for the Hotel is 1-303-371-9494. To get the special rate of $89.00 for 1-4 people in a room, you need to mention that you are with the Foot of the Rockies Cat Club. If you book on line you will need to mention the FRCC and use the code HOC. The special rate only applies until Sept. 15th, 2010. Some rooms are available from Sept. 21-28 for those who would like to do a little vacationing. There is 24 hour complimentary airport shuttle service, as well as Free Parking at the Hotel. Now would be a good time to start looking for CHEAP airline tickets. A couple of people have mentioned that they were able to get some really good deals by booking early.
June 7, 2010 Update A Big Thank you to those who have donated or bid on the many exciting items on the IRC web site. There is still plenty of room for more items to be added, you have until the 15th of June to send pictures of your donation to Sue to have posted on the web site.
The Foot of the Rockies Cat Club has started accepting entries for the September Cat Show. On their web site frccinc.org they have posted an early bird special that the Ragdoll breeders can take advantage of. The IRC Committee is also offering an early bird incentive as well.

The First 10 Ragdoll Owners to enter their Ragdolls will have their names entered into a drawing for a $100.00 CASH Prize. The drawing will be held right after the Banquet on Saturday Evening. We are still accepting sponsorships for the Hospitality Room of any amount. This will be a place to grab a snack and meet and socialize with fellow Ragdoll people, no telling who you might meet there.

June 1, 2010 Update Sue and Brigitte are still taking donations for the Auction, so let's check one more time and see if we can't find something that we can donate to help support the IRC Congress. I found 3 more items just today. BIDDING on the Auction items begins Tuesday June 1, 2010 and will end on July 1, 2010 at midnight Eastern Time. We appreciate the support you have given to make this another great International Ragdoll Congress.
We have a great Show Hotel just 2 blocks from I-70 highway and just a short distance from the airport. They have a shuttle service to and from the airport. The Hotel has given us a supper rate of $89.00 for 1-4 occupants. There is NO Pet Fee.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel is now taking reservations for the FRCC Cat Show. They have given us a rate of $89 with 1-4 persons occupancy, it is available until September 15th, 2010. Please book as early as possible as rooms at this rate are limited! Don't miss out on a great deal. Call (303) 371-9494. If you book online, please use Group Code HOC to receive this special rate. The FRCC has negotiated with the hotel and there will be NO pet fee charged. There is also FREE PARKING.
All entries to the show are paid to FRCC. Payment for the Ragdoll Booklet $25.00 US & Canada, $30.00 Overseas, Educational Seminar $20.00, Banquet $35.00, and Hospitality Room Any amount you chose, are paid to IRC. You can use the IRC Pay Pal Button.
Links have now been made to the Cattery or Clubs that sponsored the Educational Seminar, we still have two Sponsorships available. Those who sponsor any event will not only have their names displayed on the IRC web site for all to see, but will also be listed in the 7th IRC Brochure that will be handed out at the Congress upon arrival.

May 17, 2010 We are aware that going to the congress is a very expensive deal for most people, especially if you have to travel a long way. Therefore, we are trying to keep some of your costs down. Part of the cost of showing is buying your meals. The 7th International Ragdoll Congress will be having a hospitality Room opening Thursday evening and running through Sunday morning.
We will be providing a casual dinner for those people who are there on Thursday evening. Jill Adams is in charge of our Hospitality room and she is working with JaNeil putting together meals and snacks and soft drinks for those who visit it. At a later time we will posting the hours during which the Hospitality Room will be open. We will soon have a Hospitality Button on the IRC web site where more information will be constantly posted with the hours the Room will be open, and what foods will be available. We want to keep everyone up to date.

May 3, 2010The Crowne Plaza DIA Hotel is now ready to accept Reservations for 7th International Ragdoll Congress. It is located only a short distance from the Denver International Airport. JaNeil has arranged an excellent rate for us. The cost per room is $89.00 for up to 4 people---thats right up to 4 people for the price of one.
You will need to ask for the Foot of the Rockies Cat Club Show Block. If you book online, use Group Code HOC. I just booked my room and everything went very smoothly. They have saved some rooms for September 21-28 in case some Exhibitors want to stay longer and get in some sight seeing. It is never too early to make your reservations. I hope to see you all in Denver, I plan on being there for the opening of the Hospitality Room Thursday Evening September 23rd.

7th INTERNATIONAL RAGDOLL CONGRESS DENVER COLORADO SEPTEMBER 24-26, 2010The 7th International Ragdoll Congress will be held September 24-26, 2010 in the beautiful city of DENVER CO. The hosting club will be the "Foot of the Rockies Cat Club" It will be Co-Hosted by the two CFA Ragdoll Clubs, "Ragdolls of America Group" and the "Ragdoll Breed Club". The Show Hotel will be the Crown Plaza, the same Hotel that the 2002 IRC was held in. The Show Hall is within the Crown Plaza Hotel and you do not have to go outside to enter the Show Hall, which is good news if it is raining. Sleeping Room rate will be $89.00 per night single/double/triple/quad. CFA President Pam DelaBar has been signed as one of the judges. The Educational Seminar and the Breed Seminar will be held on Friday, with the Cat Show and Congresses on Saturday and Sunday. We have two excellent speakers from Colorado State university to speak on topics that I think the Ragdoll Breeders will find very interesting and helpful in the managing of their catteries. Dr Craig B. Webb will be speaking on Feline Diarrhea and Dr. Jessica Quimby will be speaking on Feline kidney Disease. CFA Ragdoll Breed Council Secretary Isabelle Bellavance will be conducting the Breed Seminar, both Seminars will be held in the Crown Plaza Hotels Aspen Theater which seats 145 people and has theater seating so that you never have to worry about someones head being in the way.
The International Ragdoll Congress is always trying to come up with new and different ideas for the congress. This congress is no different, a lot of new and exciting ideas have come up that I think will make this another great congress. The International Ragdoll Congress (IRC) is unique in that it is a Worldwide Congress bringing together Ragdoll Breeders from around the World. It is a 3 day event with a Educational Seminar, a Breed Seminar and Congresses in all 3 classes. Our primary goals are the education of Ragdoll Breeders, in both cattery management and a better understanding of the Ragdoll Standard. It has always had the ulterior motive of advancing the Ragdoll Breed as one of the TOP Breeds within the various Associations.
